Job Description:
Position: Personnel Care Assistant
Reports to: Director

Exemption: Exempt

Work schedule: Varies schedule approved by Director.

Summary:

I am Looking for a Household Assistant who will dedicate themselves to be a cheerful, energetic person who enjoys engaging client in fun activities and helping director in all of their needs such as running errands, making appointments, cooking, cleaning basement and living room areas for client, client’s laundry, and caregiver activities. A dedicated, honest, and warm individual who enjoys helping families keep their active lives and homes organized, tidy, and running efficiently.

Responsibilities: The care of client which includes the following:

Maintaining a schedule as follows:
Getting client up and showered
Preparing and providing client breakfast
Encouraging client to spend 15 minutes per day out side on the porch as the weather permits.
Feeding client lunch between 12:00 and 13:00
Encouraging client to move every two hours.
Feeding client dinner between the hours of 16:00 and 17:00
Record Vital signs once a shift in communication book.
Fun activities should be documented in communication book ( watching TV, Playing on the commupter, singing and listening to radio, reading leap frog books)
Review incoming correspondence for action
Bring items requiring priority attention to director in a timely fashion.
Perform tasks/responsibilities outside of regular responsibilities when necessary.
This is a live-in position when traveling.
Creation of detailed Care Giver Communication manuals/notebook for documentation of daily activities of client.
Preparing daily written reports, activities and schedule conflicts for client.









Requirements:
Is described by others as a responsible, punctual, and enthusiastic Home Assistant and care provider.
Negotiating skills are critical when dealing with the operations for this household.
Excellent communication skills and comfort in dealing with people of all levels in the community.
Good organization skills are also required.
Ability & Willingness to learn new skills.
Able to anticipate needs of director.
Able to maintain high level of confidentiality and diplomacy.
Strong time and workload management, able to prioritize and plan tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills; acute attention to detail and accuracy.
Energetic and adaptable to changes in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment; can manage competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Dependable and responsible with excellent work ethic; able to work occasional extended hours including business and leisure travel.
Very flexible and will help in any area including cooking and errands.
Is described by others as a responsible, punctual, and enthusiastic Home Assistant and care provider.
A Nursing Assistant Certificate and a current CPR and First Aid certified are desirable.
